The tabernacle is a representation of God‘s presence among His people. He desires holiness and intimacy. The ark of the covenant is a call to obedience and purity and the menorah is a symbol of God’s light to world, shown through the Jewish people.
The tassels on the tallit or prayer shawl, the tefillin, worn on the head and hand and the mezuzah on the doorframe contain God‘s word, which is intended to protect us, guide our lives and encourage us to walk by faith. The shofar(ram’s horn) is used in battle to summon the hosts of heaven, as a call to repentance or in worship and celebration.
