Keeping the Sabbath

Keeping the Sabbath

Keeping the Sabbath Sabbath-remember

God wants to restore the fullness of Sabbath to the Gentile Church. This presentation examines the true meaning of Sabbath, the fourth commandment, which honours God and in which we receive a blessing.

The Sabbath is much more than a day of rest, ‘to be still and know that I am God.’ It is intended for us to worship God, delight in His creation and enjoy our family/ relationships, feast and recreation. It foreshadows Tabernacles and the Millennium.

Going to Church on Sunday is not the same as Shabbat.
The early Church met on the seventh day of the week not the first! Sunday was instituted by the Roman Church and is based on the worship the sun god, Mithras: SUN worship rather than SON worship!

How are we to keep the Sabbath in our hectic work driven and materialistic, hedonistic modern society? This is a difficult question when our time is not God’s time.
